Wesleyan chose the Joseph Gnazzo Company to be part of the team to restore two of their most prominent buildings on campus. We developed an in-house, “just in time” production system to fabricate the 1,400+ stones needed to be replaced on these brownstone buildings. Our masons carved and finished the stones on-site to match the existing stones. We also repointed 100% of the mortar joints and cleaned the buildings to bring them back to their original finishes.

Description:
This project had time constraints due to the school season. Over 14,000 brick were replaced along with removal and resetting of coping stones. Flashings and waterproofing membrane were installed to keep the building watertight. The building also received extensive repointing sealant installation.
